Wagner residents go to great lengths to save four-lane highway
But vote and testimony not changing the minds of state officials
A group of Wagner residents have done just about all they can to petition their government.
It hasn’t helped.
The residents oppose the South Dakota Department of Transportation’s plan to convert Highway 46 from its current four-lane configuration to a three-lane road through town. The new configuration would include one westbound lane, one eastbound lane and a center turning lane.
