Watertown city officials cut ties with their city administrator during a closed door meeting, despite South Dakota sunshine laws prohibiting local government boards, councils and commissions from casting secret votes.
But members of the Watertown City Council, the mayor and the city attorney there aren’t talking publicly about not just why official actions of the city council were taken during an executive session late last month, but also why they opted to expedite the departure of Amanda Mack as Watertown City Manager during deliberations shielded from the public.
