According to several online sources, CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere. IF it gets down to 'net zero' as environmentalists want, how will plants survive without it?
An interesting article about Gov Noem’s inaction on HB-1133 (it’s still hard for me to say “Gov Noem)!
However in the beginning of your article you comment that the bill didn’t define CO2 as a common carrier as electricity, gas and others, and that it only benefits two investor groups chasing federal tax incentives.
Perhaps. But maybe you don’t understand what these tax incentives might do, which is to reduce carbon emissions which is the prime contributor to global warming.
It sounds to me like most of the farmers who don’t want drilling etc. on their land don’t understand this either.
Well, maybe they think their grandchildren can farm land that will be desert-like in 50-75 years!
Whomever/whatever is responsible for the carbon should be responsible for the cleanup of such. The tax incentives aren't reducing the emissions. If anything, they are giving the carbon producers no incentive to reduce emissions at their sites.
I wonder how things would be different if that pipeline went through her family’s property???

Carbon capture is good for ethanol. Ethanol is good for South Dakota farmers!
