In his Alturas Institute website, one paragraph stands out and it's something we all should take to heart.

"Instead of ignoring acts of aggrandizement and transgressions against our civil liberties. Americans should stand up and speak out against constitutional violations. As difficult as it may be, the maintenance of our Constitution requires Democrats and Republicans to criticize members of their own party. Party affiliation has its own place in American politics, but party loyalty must be subordinate to constitutional principles".

Thank you for pointing this out Mr. Adler. The past few sessions in South Dakota's statehouse has shown either party loyalty, arrogance or worse, sheer stupidity, prevailing in several key votes.

Hopefully, some will take this article to heart, look themselves in the mirror before they leave for the Capitol and ask. "Will I be voting for myself, my big donors or all of my constituents today?".
