Three Minnehaha County elected officials could get big pay raises next year
Officials have gone without raises in past years when their employees got them
Three of Minnehaha County’s elected officials are in line for big pay raises next year if the County Commission approves them.
Sheriff Mike Milstead, State’s Attorney Daniel Haggar and Treasurer Kris Swanson would each see 14.5 percent pay increases in 2023 under a resolution the Commission will consider on Tuesday.
Milstead’s salary would go from $151,049 to $172,952, Haggar’s would increase to $164,736 from $143,873 and Swanson’s new salary of $104,166 would rise from $90,979.
