Jon, thank you and Joe for your vision and courage in bringing The Dakota Scout into our lives. You are off to a spectacular start on what I hope will be a long and rewarding journey.
Congratulations on your first year! I was so excited to discover your paper at the grocery store. I'm glad to have both the print version as well as subscribing on line. Thank you for all your hard work.
Seeing as you get criticism from both the left and the right, you must be doing something right!
Congrats on one year of The Dakota Scout. We need more locally-sourced news, not media conglomerates who foolishly think they can cut good people and content and still turn a profit.
Congratulations on one year of resetting journalism to be local and straightforward. I appreciate the courage it took to step out and do this. And I will keep subscribing!
Can’t wait for my daily dose of the Dakota Scout. When you guys left the Argus, I said, “what will they (the Argus) do without you?” Kudos to a bold move.
Great to have a news source not limited to 9-5 reporting. Print media is always a bit of history but not like the ancient history local paper. When an outfit dumps quality people to save money the product suffers.
Thank you for an alternative that actually comes from South Dakotans!

I forgot to say that it was seeing Jon & Joe's names on the paper that attracted me to know it was going to be of substance.

Wasn’t necessary to slam the Argus in your letter. You wouldn’t have this opportunity if it weren’t for them. Just saying….
Congratulations!! Job well done!

And you are the first to report the news.
