The nationwide screening of Lost on a Mountain in Maine shattered box office expectations for the independent Hollywood film’s debut weekend.
And South Dakota theaters and moviegoers get some of the credit for pushing the Sylvester Stallone-produced flick into the box office’s top 20 draws of the opening November weekend. That the director hails from the Mount Rushmore State also didn’t hurt.
