Plaintiffs alleged ballots connected to mail forwarding companies shouldn't have been counted
Dozens of ballots cast by absentee voters in Minnehaha County and challenged by self-described election integrity advocates will remain in the final vote results of this summer’s primary election.
The South Dakota Supreme Court has denied a request by Jessica Pollema and failed-state House candidate John Kunnari that it order Secretary of State Monae Johnson and county-level election officials to disqualify 132 ballots cast in Minnehaha County on the grounds that those voters did not meet residency requirements.
