This is a project which is helping South Dakotans to handle the times we are living in. It doesn't come from government, or at least not our Governor Noem, but from people and businesses who refuse to relinquish our state to the hopelessness of suicide.
The Dakota Scout has been covering the rise in suicide in our state and especially in Sioux Falls. We need those people to share their knowledge and experience to grow a healthy and safe South Dakota. They know troubles South Dakotans face, not a single politician has seen that hardship. Politicians cannot reach these people only someone with the compassion and empathy from "being there" can.
I was fortunate enough to be able to afford the counseling needed to break out of my depression, but not everyone can afford it.
