Cultural Heritage Center to get upgrade on storage and museum exhibits
PIERRE – It’s been 34 years since the Cultural Heritage Center opened its doors. Which means a lot of history has passed since then.
Now, the repository for South Dakota’s history is catching up with the times.
The Cultural Heritage Center, which includes a general interest museum as well as a research museum and an archive center for state records, is set to close this spring. When it reopens in 2025, visitors will find a new museum.
