State lawmakers take aim at Revenue Department again with second subpoenas
Revenue officials filed lawsuit to stop testimony after first issued
PIERRE — South Dakota state lawmakers are not giving up on their pursuit to make a pair of officials in the scandal-ridden Department of Revenue appear before their investigative committee.
The Legislature’s Executive Board voted unanimously Friday to send off another subpoena to Revenue Secretary Michael Houdyshell and Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Director Rosa Yaeger, requiring them to appear before the Government Operations and Audit Committee (GOAC) on April 1, after the conclusion of this year’s legislative session.
