A South Dakota lawmaker is taking heat for being on the payroll of a campaign committee working to stop the state’s near-total abortion ban from being overturned.
Dell Rapids Rep. Jon Hansen and the anti-abortion organization Life Defense Fund he co-founded in 2022 are defending his paid involvement in the campaign against proposed Constitutional Amendment G after political blog Dakota War College spotlighted Hansen’s financial interest in the political organization.
