Gotta justify those expensive overcrowded prisons somehow. What a waste.

I'm so confused. I could have sworn I voted, along with a large percentage of my voting peers in this state, to legalize recreational in a prior election. I must be mistaken. Oh, that's right. Somehow the will of the people was taken away. Had our votes actually counted, the Biden Administration's proposal would align with the wishes of the voters of the state of SD. Yet, here we are having to do it all again. Thanks, Noem.

There is Exactly Zero Justification to Oppose the Legalization of Pot. NONE. It is Safer than Alcohol. Jackley is following the Party Line of the Modern GOP, read American Fascist Party.

Then I want alcohol classed the same. I can think of 5 people off the top of my head that died due to alcohol-related reasons, and none for weed. God people, please vote Blue.

Marty Jackley: “The Biden Administration’s attempt to reschedule marijuana right before the election without proper authority will be harmful to states like South Dakota that have not fully legalized both medical and recreational marijuana.” Maybe I'm being obtuse, but I do not understand how this is "harmful" to South Dakota. Jackley acknowledges that it has no effect on enforcement of state law., a.k.a. Noem's Law. Then, too, history suggests there are a lot of South Dakotans—as in a majority—who do not share the republican attorneys generals' distress over reclassification. Finally, I wholeheartedly endorse the view that alcohol has caused far more problems for society than marijuana. I know that's not the issue, exactly, but it is always worth pointing out to those who think they should set the moral standard for the rest of us.

Two potential issues:

1- AG Jackley is prudent in his participation!

2- SD will look at Initiated Measures 29 to legalize Marijuana!
