Board of Regents increasing rates as higher ed industry confronted with financial uncertainty
Prices are going up at South Dakota’s public universities next school year.
The Board of Regents announced Thursday that tuition will increase 2.9 percent at five institutions and 5 percent at School of Mines.
The total cost of attending college in South Dakota increased 5.2 percent from 2021 to 2025. The Board of Regents reported an average cost of $17,608 for undergraduate residents during fiscal year 2025.
