South Dakotans to start receiving settlement checks from Turbo Tax this month
Intuit accused of duping customers into paying for service
Tens of thousands of South Dakotans are getting a cut of a $141 million settlement between the software company Intuit involving its tax preparation subsidiary Turbo Tax.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Monday that 14,338 people in the state will receive checks this month as part of the multi-state settlement that stemmed from Turbo Tax allegedly using misinformation to entice customers to acquire Turbo Tax’s paid services.
