The cost of attending the South Dakota State Fair is going up, while the duration of the annual jamboree is being extended.
State lawmakers this week signed off on a request by the South Dakota State Fair Division of the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources to make the fair a six-day event instead of the traditional five days, when thousands of fairgoers descend on the state fairgrounds in Huron.
