South Dakota politico to lead day-to-day operations for North Dakota Republican Party
Dave Roetman hired as executive director following leadership shakeup in N.D. GOP
An influential political operative in South Dakota politics is heading north.
GOP politico Dave Roetman is moving to Bismarck to take a job as executive director of the North Dakota Republican Party.
Roetman, now a former Sioux Falls resident who’s helped orchestrate recent leadership shakeups within the South Dakota GOP, will lead day-to-day operations of the Peace Garden State’s majority party.
Assuming his new role last Friday, Roetman joins the North Dakota GOP following the election of Sandi Sanford as the chairwoman of the North Dakota Republican Party.
“His resume and extensive experience demonstrated to the state executive committee that Mr. Roetman was the right person for the job,” Sanford said. “We are excited to have him on board and look forward to having him in the Bismarck office.”
