South Dakota officials find 273 noncitizens on state voter rolls
Of the noncitizens who registered to vote, only one had cast a ballot
The South Dakota Secretary of State’s Office removed 273 noncitizens from South Dakota’s voter rolls Monday ahead of next month’s general election.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety initiated the review, working with the Bureau of Information and Telecommunications to “implement a fix and ensure election integrity.”

Secretary of State Monae Johnson said in the release that her office’s highest priority is election integrity.
