Rep. Brandei Schaefbaue

I nominate her ( and Jensen) for “Moron of the Session “ award

That "Moron of the Session" award is going to have to be shared by several—perhaps many. Just yesterday I read about a proposed bill that would compel the Board of Regents to allow concealed carry on campuses. Just when you thought it couldn't get any dumber, it does. We need to have a permanent "voice of reason" lobbyist testifying in support of common sense over nonsense.

The lunatic from Bonesteel

Has been carrying “ since she was 18”.

Nothing good can become of weapons on campus. It is guaranteed to result in a disaster one day .

I love weapons and killing shit more than most folks ( except Noem - I have never seen a bad dog. Just bad wicked bitches that shoot dogs) but this bill is simply stupid

In 1976 I was a freshman at SDSU living on 1st floor Young. At that time you could have beer in the dorm rooms and firearms. During hunting season I dare say there was not one room on 1st floor Young Hall that did not have at least one firearm. No one was shot. The law would require an advanced concealed carry permit, this comes with background checks and training. With that being said , I doubt that we are guaranteed a disaster some day. At least not by a law abiding citizen who has jumped through all the hoops.

We will have to make more award certificate copies on the xerox machine at the VA

I'll even chip in for the copy paper. After the session, we should have an awards night, inviting all of the "winners" to come and enlighten us with their legislative wisdom—or justify why they have such a hard time getting any of their bills out of committee. Those failures stack up on the 41st day like thin pancakes.

Waste of time and money. They seem to do anything but focus on legitimate issues.

What a stupid waste of money! The hours involved and lawyers fees would be horrendous and how do you prove they started it - plus even if they are convicted, good luck getting them to pay.

Move on and use taxpayer money for better things - like feeding hungry kids and strengthen public schools.

Not only are they not going to be able to collect, but litigating this is going to be minimum mid 6 figures when you figure in depos, travel expenses and expert witnesses and all the other horse shittery involved in any lawsuit. ALL THIS POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE SO THEY CAN GET AN 8 SECOND CLIP ON FOX NEWS. YOUR VOTES HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

Good. Now legal action against the WHO and Fauci.

Your tagline is "I drink coffee and I know things." So what do you know that would make Dr. Anthony Fauci legally liable? You might want to redirect your blame to Kristi Noem, who essentially buried her head in the sand and said "just do what you want, people." Of course, she later seemed to think she had handled COVID better than any other governor in the country. My advice to you, Dave, is stick with what you know. The seed for you medical morons' disparagement of Dr. Fauci was planted when Trump became annoyed that Fauci had stolen his spotlight at the COVID press conferences.

The ignorance and recklessness of the US DOGE in approaching “efficiency” in medical research is going to affect all South Dakotans; so our naive efforts do not seem so misplaced relative to the massive disruptions occurring on a national scale.

Anyone who has the position of or advances the position that a college campus is safer or equally safe allowing concealed weapons carry by students of staff than a campus that does not allow any weapons other than those carried by security or law enforcement is not worthy of debating.

I was on Young Hall first floor 1975-1976. I hunted waterfowl and pheasant at weekly. I didn’t have a weapon in my room . My roommate never owned a weapon . The 2 bums next door to me did not hunt or have weapons in their rooms .

The senator claims she had a conceal carry permit when she was 18 . I don’t know a female that carries a weapon outside of law enforcement . That doesn’t imply they don’t .

The first give away of a moron with a weapon is the one that brags about their carrying a weapon . It’s a lot like pissing one’s pants or going full Noem on a dog - the shit happens but you never admit to it .

Next year these time wasting clowns will sue the Convention on Migratory Species, the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians for the bird flu.

They'll follow up with companion bill banning the four North American flyways as violations of the sovereignty of US and SD borders.
