South Dakota Attorney General pursuing more public corruption indictments
New charges involving former state employees imminent
More charges related to public corruption are coming.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley will be in Sioux Falls Tuesday for a press briefing related to public corruption. And though his office is declining to share further details until the afternoon news conference, sources independent of the attorney general but with knowledge of the office’s months-long criminal probe into financial malfeasance within state government say additional charges involving former state employees are imminent.
It won’t be Jackley’s first trip to Sioux Falls to address public corruption cases in recent months.

In July, Jackley announced felony charges against a former Department of Social Services employee accused of stealing nearly $2 million intended for foster children. That scheme is alleged to have persisted for more than a decade.
More recently, three former Department of Revenue employees have been implicated in cases related to fraud within the agency, resulting in two being charged criminally. A third accused of using counterfeit vehicle titles to obtain bank loans died prior to authorities’ discovering the alleged criminal misconduct, according to The Dakota Scout.

It’s unclear whether the charges Jackley will file this week are related to those incidents or stem from previously undisclosed investigations conducted by the Attorney General’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
Zero faith left in this administration and their ability to run the state.
With all this corruption, they sure are keeping AG Marty Jackley busy.
