Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet did not pay workers required overtime
A Sioux Falls restaurant has paid nearly $300,000 in back wages and fines for labor violations.
The U.S. Department of Labor announced Thursday it has recovered $279,070 in back wages and liquidated damages from Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet after it paid kitchen workers a flat monthly salary and denied them overtime wages for hours over 40 in a workweek, according to a news release.
