Sioux Falls City Council wants pool bond reduced to $68M
Councilors united in push to reduce amount of borrowing, hold line on project cost estimates
The Sioux Falls City Council doesn’t want $9 million included in an aquatics and recreation bond that would have been used to replenish the city’s 2025 road construction budget.
That’s one takeaway from a series of votes cast by councilors Tuesday night regarding City Hall’s years-long pursuit to borrow $77 million for new pool campuses at Kuehn and Frank Olson Parks.
