A sign summer is on the wane in Sioux Falls is the conclusion of the Levitt at the Falls concert series. That happened this year on Sept. 14, marking the end of the 2024 season for the outdoor, free music series.
Starting May 31, the season featured 500 musicians in the downtown amphitheater, with nearly 90,000 people attending an event in person. The average attendance per concert was 1,863. South Dakota Public Broadcasting livestreamed online, allowing an additional 165,119 people in 73 countries to tune in.
The Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience saw the largest crowd of 6,459 on opening weekend. Another 5,291 attended Kory and the Fireflies on July 4.
