Warner Bros. Discovery, parent of CNN, is taking a second bite at the news streaming business after its disastrous failure of CNN+ just last year. The news programming, titled CNN Max, will only be available to subscribers of HBO Max and include a mix of current news as well as premium content from CNN.
In another announcement from Warner Bros. Discovery, and bowing to the realities of the continuing SAG-AFTRA actors strike, the studio has delayed until next year the planned openings of three expensive and high-profile films – Dune: Part 2, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire and Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The lack of talent in the promotional push for the films is the reason since the union has declared that such work is also prohibited. My only question is, why are colons now so ubiquitous in titles?
