Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic could be biggest convention in S.D. history
The nation’s largest upland tradeshow and convention is coming to Sioux Falls.
National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, presented by Federal Ammunition is back and is expected to draw more than 33,000 of the group’s members, along with hunters, sporting dogs, landowners and conservation enthusiasts. The outsized conservation convention and exhibition held annually in different cities returns to Sioux Falls for three days beginning Friday, March 1 and will be headquartered at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

New this year, a first ever “Concert for Conservation” performed by Duluth bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles. To make it happen, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever partnered with Pepper Entertainment. The concert Feb. 29 at the Washington Pavilion will precede the three-day celebration.
Jared Wiklund, director of communications for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, said bringing in the band was a good fit and a great way to kick off the weekend festivities.
