David Wheeler’s departure from Legislature creates vacancy
There’s an opening in the South Dakota Senate.
David Wheeler, a Republican from Huron serving in District 22, has been appointed circuit judge in the Third Circuit by Gov. Larry Rhoden. He will replace Judge Greg Stoltenburg, who is retiring.
Wheeler resigned from his state Senate seat on Thursday, according to the governor’s office.
