Rep. Dusty Johnson, other GOP and Democratic officials, helped get Amendment H on ballot
Despite signing petition, Johnson says he will vote against measure in November
Congressman Dusty Johnson is among some of the state’s political leaders who signed petitions to change the state’s primary elections.
But that doesn’t mean they’re backing the measure in the November election.
Johnson signed the petition, dated May 1, 2023 using his legal first name, Dustin, and his Mitchell address. He signed a petition circulated by De Knudson, a former Sioux Falls city councilor and one of the organizers who got the open primaries amendment on the ballot.
