Weather sirens in Sioux Falls might not necessarily mean a tornado is imminent anymore, but people should still take shelter when they hear one.
Beginning this spring, the city of Sioux Falls will activate outdoor warning sirens for destructive severe thunderstorm warnings, expanding its current emergency alert system beyond tornado warnings.
