Noem: VP meeting with Trump 'was a good, long conversation'

Gov. Kristi Noem isn’t sharing details about what she and Donald Trump discussed at his Mar-A-Lago home this week as speculation mounts she’ll be the running mate for the likely GOP presidential nominee.
But should Noem end up on the Trump ticket, she says the state will be in good hands if she has to step away.

In a wide-ranging sit-down interview with The Dakota Scout inside of her office at the state Capitol Tuesday, the second-term Republican governor said, “it was a good, long conversation with the president — we met for a long time.” But she declined to go into specifics about her closed-door meeting with her longtime ally and former president.
“I’m not going to share private conversations that I had with the president,” Noem told The Dakota Scout. “We did have a good meeting yesterday… I’ve known Trump for years, we worked together when I was in Congress, he’s come to South Dakota, so it was good to visit with him and talk a little bit about 2024.”
