She didn't want to spend a little over $100,000 to administer a grant to feed hungry children over the summer but she's ok spending millions on a gun range. Shows you her priorities. Investigate who makes money off this deal and if they donated to her campaign.

Doesn’t matter who the governor is, no one should have a slush fund of taxpayer money to spend on whatever they want. Every dime of taxpayer money taken by the government should have strict oversight and both the legislative and executive branches should agree on any spending of that money. To circumvent the will of the legislature and the people those legislators represent and fund something that was already denied funding is simply wrong. What’s sad to me as well as a Republican is how flagrantly this goes against everything our party stands for. We are the party of limited government…but I guess if there’s revenue involved that goes out the window? Our platform states that we believe the proper role of government is to perform those CRITICAL functions that CANNOT be properly performed by individuals or organizations. This, and sadly so many other things our state government does, flies in the face of that:-(.

Geez, that money could have been spent in many better ways. The whole of South Dakota is already a shooting range.

Time for the legislature to kill the tax and fund, but I bet they don't have the political will to do it.

So once again Noem is dishonest in her promise of being transparent. She’s a RINO at best, working against true conservatives!
