Noem removes Rosebud Sioux flag from South Dakota display
Tribe requested return of flag, governor's office says, 'they can pick it up at their convenience.'
The flag of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe has been removed from the South Dakota Capitol rotunda.
However, Gov. Kristi Noem will not honor a request by the tribe’s council to have the flag returned to the western South Dakota reservation. Rather, it’ll be up to the tribe to retrieve it.
