Names of legislators who traveled to Hawaii released
Public still in the dark about costs associated with taxpayer-funded trip
The list of South Dakota representatives who traveled to Hawaii in December for a legislative outing has been released by the Speaker of the House.
The Dakota Scout in December reported at least a dozen state legislators flew to the Pacific island of Oahu where the national conference of the Council of State Governments took place from Dec. 7-10, including now former Reps. Spencer Gosch and Jamie Smith.
At the time, Senate President Pro Tempore Lee Schoenbeck released the names of the four members from his chamber who attended the conference: Rep. Gary Cammack (the Senate majority leader at the time) and Sens. Red Dawn Foster, Michael Rohl and Erin Tobin.
