South Dakota is doubling down on its recent spike in dairy production with a $55-million bet that promises to bring thousands more milk cows and dozens of jobs to the state.
That’s how much The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has awarded Kingsbury County Dairy via a low interest Livestock Nutrient Management Bond to finance construction of a $191 million dairy farm.
