David Owen to step down after nearly three decades leading state chamber group
A staple of the South Dakota Capitol and the state's economic development industry is stepping down after nearly three decades.
South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry President David Owen is retiring later this year after 27 years leading the organization, which represents the state’s business interests during the annual legislative session in Pierre. The state chamber also plays an advocacy role in ballot measures related to the South Dakota economy and state finances.
