Longtime City Hall critic makes at least third run at Sioux Falls mayor office
David Zokaites files another candidacy, this time with ‘fire, focus, and vision,’ according to campaign
David Zokaites is once again running for mayor of Sioux Falls — if the perpetual candidate ever stopped seeking public office.
A familiar move for the longtime local government observer and perennial municipal office seeker, the 63-year-old citizen activist has initiated yet another mayoral campaign, this time ahead of the upcoming 2026 contest.
“And he’s not just tossing his hat into the ring, he’s coming in with fire, focus, and a future-forward vision for the city we love,” according to a news release announcing Zokaites’ candidacy.
