A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY TO GRADE, GRAVEL, CONSTRUCT CURB AND GUTTER, CONSTRUCT SIDEWALK, STORM SEWER, ASPHALT SURFACING, CONCRETE SURFACING, WATER, AND STREETLIGHTS ON E. 6TH STREET, AND ASSESSING THE COST TO EACH LOT OR TRACT OF LAND BENEFITING THEREBY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS, SD:
Section 1. Section 2. The cost and expense of the improvements shall be levied by special assessment upon the above-described property in accordance with Section 96.034 of the Code of Ordinances of Sioux Falls, SD, and SDCL Chapter 9-43. Subject to exceptions described in City ordinance, the improvements shall be assessed upon the above-described property abutting upon the same in proportion to the number of front feet fronting or abutting, as provided by law.
Section 3. Notice. The City may waive or reduce special assessments levied against owner-occupied single-family dwellings where the head of the household is 65 years of age or older, or is disabled or where the annual household income is less than $10,000. In order to qualify and be eligible for the waiving or reduction of such special assessments, you must make application on forms provided at the City of Sioux Falls Housing Division, 231 N. Dakota Ave., or call 605-367-8180, prior to the date of the ‘Final Levy of the Assessment Roll’ before the Sioux Falls City Council. Failure to make a proper written application prior to this date will disqualify you from being eligible for waiving or reduction of the special assessment.
Section 4. The assessment may be paid in five (5) equal annual installments. If not paid within 30 days after the assessment roll has been filed in the City Finance Office, the assessment or any installment shall be collected with interest in accordance with the procedure provided by SDCL 9-43-89.
Interest on the assessment or installment will be charged and collected in accordance with the law. The rate to be charged will be set by the City Council in the year of assessment.
Section 5. The estimated cost of the above-named improvements is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNUAL RATE INCREASE PURSUANT TO THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR GROUND AMBULANCE SERVICE FOR THE CITY OF SIOUX FALLS WITH PARAMEDICS LOGISTICS SOUTH DAKOTA, LLC.
WHEREAS, the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota (“City”), and Paramedics Plus, LLC (“Paramedics Plus”) entered into a franchise agreement effective May 21, 2015, (“the agreement”) for Paramedics Plus to be the exclusive provider of ground ambulance service within the City pursuant to SDCL 34-11-1, City Charter Section 2.12, and Section 124.081 of the Code of Ordinances of Sioux Falls, SD;
WHEREAS, in 2018, the City and Paramedics Plus executed an Assignment and Assumption Agreement with Paramedics Logistics South Dakota, LLC assigning all interest in the agreement to Paramedics Logistics South Dakota LLC and Paramedics Logistics South Dakota LLC assuming all obligations under the agreement;
WHEREAS, the agreement required that the rates for all services provided by Paramedics Logistics South Dakota, LLC would be increased annually at the greater of three (3) percent per year or the annual increase in the Consumer Price Index—Urban consumers (CPI-U) for each year. As the latest annual CPI-U was three and four tenths (3.4) percent, Paramedics Logistics South Dakota, LLC has requested the three and four tenths (3.4) percent increase for all rates as follows:

The Sioux Falls School District actively seeks to identify, locate, and evaluate children in need of special education, special education and related services, and/or Section 504 services. All children residing within the jurisdiction of the District who are ages birth through 21 regardless of the severity of their disability, including children in all public and private agencies and institutions, private schools, religious schools, and children receiving alternative instruction under SDCL 13-27-3 within the legal boundaries of the District are eligible to participate in Child Find activities. This includes children who are not in school, those who are highly mobile such as children who are migrant or homeless, and those who are advancing from grade to grade but are not receiving special education or 504 services.

The Sioux Falls School District conducts child find activities throughout the school year through their multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework where children enrolled in the District are continually monitored within a data-driven, problem-solving process to ensure they are making adequate progress. Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records
Special Education records which have been collected by the Sioux Falls School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of Special Education in the district, must be maintained in accordance with Board policy JRA/JRA-R. Destruction of records information provided to parents/guardians at each IEP meeting: After 5 years of dropped enrollment, student aging out (21 years old), or one year after the student graduates, the SFSD will place the last evaluation, IEP, and PPWN/Summary of Performance in the student’s permanent file. The remainder of the student’s special education records will be purged. Special Education services end when the student no longer is eligible for services, graduates, completes his or her educational program on June 30th of the year after he/she turns 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of the Sioux Falls School District’s intent to digitize the Special Education records of students who ended Special Education Services either as a result of graduation, aging out of the program, or dismissal from special education services. Graduate records will be digitized approximately one year after graduation. All other records will be digitized within three years of dismissal from services or leaving the district. Requests for records can be made in accordance with Board Policy JRA/JRA-R. The District may charge a nominal fee for copies.

Eligibility for reciprocity for international educators. The secretary may issue an educator certificate to an international applicant for reciprocity certificate, if the applicant:
(1) Holds the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or higher, as shown by a course-by-course credential report of university-level credit completed by an agency approved by the Association of International Credential Evaluators or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services that states the course title, grade, and number of semester credit hours earned for each course and the U.S. equivalency of the degree earned;
(2) Provides documentation showing completion of a program equivalent to a department-approved educator preparation program; and
(3) Submits:
a. (a) Documentation showing that the applicant holds a foreign educator credential in a teaching field comparable to a field recognized in South Dakota; or
b. NOTICE OF PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE FOR S.D. HIGHWAY 115 CORRIDOR STUDY | S.D. HIGHWAY 115 FROM EAST DIKE PLACE/DRIVE IN SIOUX FALLS, S.D. TO W. 4TH STREET IN DELL RAPIDS, S.D.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) with the Cities of Sioux Falls, Baltic, Dell Rapids, and Minnehaha County are hosting back-to-back Public Open Houses to gather public input to help shape the long-range vision of the corridor.
The purpose of this public open house is to gather input on issues and needs to be addressed as part of this study along the S.D. Highway 115 Corridor. This information will help the study team shape the long-range vision for the corridor and to provide implementation guidance for recommended improvements.
Project representatives will be available with displays to discuss the study and answer questions. During this time, participants will have the opportunity to submit written comments and participate in a roadway survey.
Area residents, business owners, and daily commuters are encouraged to attend and participate in the open house.
Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this public meeting is being held in a physically accessible place. Any individuals with disabilities who will require a reasonable accommodation to participate in the public meeting should submit a request to the department’s ADA Coordinator at 605-773-3540 or 1-800-877-1113 (Telecommunication Relay Services for the Deaf).
