Kiosks help shrink lines for vehicle titles, registrations
Minnehaha County officials want more satellite locations for tag renewals
SIOUX FALLS – Minnehaha County Commissioner Gerald Beninga said he used to hear “significant complaints” about the long lines for vehicle titles and registrations at the county’s administration building downtown.
Not anymore.
“I don’t think I heard any in the past year,” he said.
One major reason, according to Treasurer Kris Swanson, is that more drivers are using the kiosks found at five locations around the city.
Beninga thinks they should add even more, although Swanson said the state would likely have to be involved in any such decisions.
“We should double them,” Beninga said.
