Minnehaha County’s new auditor isn’t happy that she’s making less than her predecessor.
And auditor-elect Leah Anderson is accusing county commissioners who set her annual salary of playing politics with her pay.
Commissioners in recent weeks approved pay bumps for themselves and several county department heads like the Minnehaha County sheriff and state’s attorney. They also set yearly pay for Anderson, who will be sworn in this spring after earning the job in the November election, at a salary of $89,232.
