$4.6M transmission line to power city operations in northeast Sioux Falls
A years-long pursuit to connect the city’s municipal electricity supply to a series of new public facilities coming online in northeast Sioux Falls is complete.
And though most Sioux Falls businesses and residents aren’t among the city’s Light and Power Utility customers — its electricity primarily powers government campuses and schools — every taxpayer, water user and sewer utility customer stands to gain from a 5.5 mile long electric circuit bringing municipal power to the city’s northeastern outskirts for the first time.
