DCI's investigation report to be turned over to Black Hills prosecutor
Criminal chargers alleging sexual misconduct among Mitchell baseball players will likely be filed in Pennington County, if they are filed at all.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Wednesday that findings from a Division of Criminal Investigation probe into alleged conduct involving members of the Mitchell Legion Post 18 will be handed over to Pennington County State’s Attorney Lara Roetzel.
“The alleged victims and the subjects of the investigation deserve a complete and thorough investigation,” Jackley said in a statement. “Prosecuting authorities … are doing a further review of the allegations and evidence.”
