Hanson County man dead after confrontation with 'pedophile poaching' internet personality
Donald Letcher accused of engaging in pedophilia before committing suicide Tuesday
A 60-year-old South Dakotan is dead after barricading himself in his home and committing suicide following a viral confrontation with an online celebrity who accused him of being a pedophile.
Donald Letcher, 60, died Tuesday in the small community of Epiphany — along the border of Hanson and Miner counties — after an interaction with Texas-based Predator Poachers’ founder Alex Rosen. The organization showed up to accuse Letcher of sending sexually explicit messages to the group while they pretended to be an underaged girl.
