Commission makes move toward more accessible government
A South Dakota government body in one of the state’s fastest growing counties wants more constituents at its meetings.
The Lincoln County Commission will begin holding one evening meeting a month starting in May, aiming to make county government more accessible to residents who work during the day.
The board voted Tuesday to create a committee to study future uses for the historic Canton courthouse, which the courts and the state's attorney’s office will vacate later this year.
