‘Sip and spit’ bill, increased penalties for school violence won’t get signed
PIERRE — Gov. Kristi Noem doesn’t think the punishment for assaulting school employees should be as heavy as assaulting law enforcement officers.
She’s also not sold that brewery students under 21 years old should be able to taste the beverages they craft.
That’s the takeaway from a pair of vetoes the Republican governor issued Thursday to the Legislature.
