How thin skinned do you have to be to "demand" flags be flown at full staff during your inauguration? When Trump is dead I'll be sure and fly mine at half staff--out of respect, you know what that is?
I was told - a LONG time ago, "If you can;t say anything nice about someone, don't say anything".
That being written, I will write that my flag has remained at full staff in Honor and Memory of the men and women who serve and have served our country honorably in general.....and those who fell on fields, skies and seas of battle while defending us.
Federal Flag Code 4 U.S.C. § 6(d), titled ‘Time and occasions for display,’ provides that “The flag should be displayed on all days, especially on … Inauguration Day, January 20.” Displayed means “at full staff.”
Federal Flag Code 4 USC § 7(m) which follows that says the American Flag should be flown at half-staff for 30 days following a former President’s death.
Since the two codes are in a rare conflict, it is reasonable to raise them on inauguration day and then lower them for the remaining period following Carter’s death,
Unless inauguration day is bringing us a vile, loud mouthed, self-serving, traitor, convicted felon, lousy business-man (bankrupt declared 6 times!) and whiny loser! My property, my flag pole and my flag! MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH! I'll fly my flag anyway I want to insult our next "president"! And whatever happened to the 14th amendment!!?? Oh, yeah...our corrupted, bought and paid for Supreme Court. What a joke!
Or fly our flag upside down as we descend into white christo-fascism.
That's what I'm considering.
me too
That's right.
Very disappointed, but certainly not surprised.
I'm disgusted as well.

Sometimes we have to laugh so we won't cry.
A flag is ‘displayed’ even at half staff.
Glad we have this to distract from any real problems or policy.
Flags seem to be flying at half staff all the time now. Anyone else notice this?
All the time?? Really? Computer says "Nah."
"Seem" is the operative word here
Parsing?
