Four Winds Festival turns 10: Anticipation builds ahead of festival milestone
Two-day event spread out over six stages with more than 100 musical acts
As summer slowly approaches, concert-goers have already begun to make travel plans for “festival season.” However, those in Sioux Falls won’t have to travel far as one of the biggest music festivals in the Dakotas will be taking place in Downtown Sioux Falls on Aug. 8 and 9.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Four Winds Music and Art Festival has grown to be a summer highlight for music enthusiasts and art lovers in Sioux Falls and the surrounding region.
This year’s event will feature two days of live music across six stages with more than 100 musical artists from different genres, as well as an art exhibition.
The 2025 lineup will feature headliners The Spill Canvas, Chris Webb, a Private Drive reunion show, Rifflord, Night Moves and Don’t Panic, among dozens of others. See the full list at fourwindsfest.com.
Although Four Winds is now a multi-day event, it all started as a single-day concert celebrating local and regional talent.
The first Four Winds Festival took place on May 7, 2016, at Icon Lounge. Organized by Corey Church and sponsored by Icon Lounge, local record store Total Drag and The Cloud, the lineup featured nine musical acts, and Church began planning Four Winds II for the following summer.
