Exodus of Brockhouse animal collection from Sioux Falls could start in March
Workgroup wants potential future owners to keep rare, historic exhibits together
Rare taxidermy displays viewed by the Sioux Falls public for decades could begin moving out of the city as early as spring.
The Brockhouse Collection at Delbridge Museum workgroup, assembled by the mayor last year, will begin soliciting natural history museums, academic institutions, and other nonprofits interested in taking ownership of 170 specimens — some on the endangered species list — at the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum next week.
