Employee placed on administrative leave and then terminated after department discovered potential fraud
PIERRE — A state employee that replaced a colleague who used her Department of Revenue position to steal $400,000 from lending institutions is now under investigation herself amid allegations of fraud, The Dakota Scout has confirmed.
Lynne Hunsley, who served as a revenue supervisor in the Department of Revenue, was placed on administrative leave by department leadership within the last two weeks as she faces charges that she, too, falsified vehicle titles.
In a statement to The Scout, the department confirmed that an employee had been terminated.
