Sioux Falls will strike up the bands from across the region participating in parade and field competition.The Field Competition will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Howard Wood Field, with 25 bands competing to advance to the finals competition that evening at 6:45 p.m.

Spend an evening with Sir Winston Churchill in actor Gregery Williams Welsch’s one-man-show at the Washington Pavilion. POET Bioproducts Institute grand opening

1414 Research Parkway, Brookings
Celebrate the grand opening of the POET Bioproducts Institute, a 45,000-square foot specialized laboratory facility at South Dakota State University’s (SDSU) Research Park in Brookings. The institute is the product of a partnership between SDSU and South Dakota Mines, made possible by a $5 million gift from POET, as well as $20 million in legislative funding, $2 million from South Dakota Corn, and additional annual funding from the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and the state.
The 1 p.m. event will be followed by a tour of Dakota BioWorx.
