Zoo, city earn support for plan to gift rare taxidermy mounts to Notre Dame, other museums
Moving a collection of rare taxidermy animal mounts that had been on display at the Great Plains Zoo out of state has the backing of the family who gifted the exotic collection to the city of Sioux Falls four decades ago.
Relatives of C.J. Delbridge have penned letters of support for zoo-backed plans for the city to relinquish ownership of 152 specimens and gift them to the University of Notre Dame Museum of Biodiversity, the Oddities Museum in Atlanta, and the Institute for Natural History Arts in New Jersey.
