The Sioux Falls School District is bracing for a leaner budget as property tax pressures collide with the end of COVID-era subsidies from the federal government.
School board members on Monday unanimously approved a preliminary $235.5 million operating budget for the next fiscal year, a reduction in their overall spending that’s anticipated to see reductions in high school learning center staffing, elementary over-enrollment educational assistants and reading interventionist positions.
